T-2: M Ready To Go (Bob & Lisa to Follow)

Ready to Hit The Road!

Washed, Waxed, Plastic Wrapped, and Ready to Hit The Road

M is ready to go.  She's washed, waxed, plastic wrapped, and shining bright thanks to Bob's hard work today.

The trunk is packed, after several tries, and the culling was kept to a minimum.

I was even able to fit in some cooking essentials like one good pan, two good knives, a good bottle of olive oil, and of course some critical spices.

The interior is all decked out too.  There is a mount for the GoPro on the door (shown below).  This will allow filming out the side window, with it either up or down (depending on the type of animal being filmed).

There is also one on the dash, shown here:

This is the camera view from the dash-- should pick up the road ahead nicely. (If you look closely at this demo shot you can see our glass flower garden to the far right of the picture.  That will come inside tomorrow.)

As you can see, we've got the video from the car covered from all angles.

And of course, Bob has made sure that his Yeti mug fits into the cup holder (not a trivial concern when talking about a BMW.)

So, all that's left is the final packing of the back seat with essentials and filling the coolers.  Oh there is also closing up everything in the house and putting it to sleep for the summer.

It all still feels daunting, but we're confident we'll get there.

One day to go until we take off on our Great Alaskan Adventure.  No turning back now!
